HOW TO STUDY YOUR BIBLE is a workshop styled conference equipping both men and women with skills and tools on how to study their Bible and enrich their relationship with God.
We live in an age of greater accessibility to God’s Word than ever before. There has never been so many translations, commentaries and digital tools to enhance our understanding of the text and read the Bible for ourselves. The scripture is available in every major language and is always just a tap away through any number of Bible apps. Yet, despite all this ease of access there still seems to be a growing lack of biblical literacy in the church. We have wide and available access to God’s Word, but don’t have the skills and training to tap into the depths of the scripture and as a result, we are left with just a surface level understanding of God. Yet, despite the lack of Bible knowledge today there is a growing hunger for living not on “bread alone but on every Word that comes from the mouth of God (Matt. 4:4). Because for most people, it’s not that we don’t “want to study the Bible,” but it’s because we often don’t know “how to study the Bible.” Even the sheer volume and complex nature of the Bible can seem intimidating and leave us paralyzed without knowing how to start.
This workshop styled conference will help equip you with the training and the tools to start studying the Bible for yourself. This is more than a scholarly approach to studying a book or a text. It is really about getting to know God in the person of Jesus Christ and having the eyes of our hearts enlightened by the work of the Holy Spirit. This is a matter of eternal significance and we aim to help every person to enrich their relationship with God by reading and understanding His Word. We hope you can join Pastor Jordan Moody and Mikella Van Dyke as they teach the people of God how to enrich their relationship with God by studying the Word of God.
